Jeremy Egerton vs Rhod Powell

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 10/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jeremy Egerton (8(1) - 0) who hails from Manchester, UK and Rhod Powell(2 - 6 - 3) from London, UK.  Both Egerton and Powell weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Keefe, and the three ringside judges are Louis Atkins, Irfan Assaf and Owen Wallace.  

Round 1: 

Egerton is looking to close the distance and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.

Powell is desperate to make more of an impact on his opponent.   He catches his opponent with what looks like an intentional butt!  The ref halts the action and sends Egerton to the neutral corner.    He tells Powell to stop fouling or face a points deduction.  
Egerton lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Egerton crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES POWELL!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.
