Bilal Alam vs Devdas Batta

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex Boxing Arena, Pune,  taking place on 01/06/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Bilal Alam (12(2) - 4 - 1) who hails from Pune, India and Devdas Batta(6 - 9(4) - 2) from Kanpur, India.  Both Alam and Batta weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hassan Hares, and the three ringside judges are Farhan Diab, Shayan Haque and Lochan Vijay.  

Round 1: 

Alam drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Alam ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Alam pushes his forearm into Batta's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
