Montgomery Obie vs Orson Bayard

Boxing Daily Report from the Kauseni Promotions promoted show at Abidjan Marc, Abidjan,  taking place on 22/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ivory Coast Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RTI Sport TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Montgomery Obie (6 - 8) who hails from Abobo, Ivory Coast and Orson Bayard(11 - 1 - 2) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  Both Obie and Bayard weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Darrieux, and the three ringside judges are Chancellor de Bergerac, Antoine Deneuve and Pierre de La Fontaine.  

Round 1: 

Bayard gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Bayard closes the distance and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Bayard digs in a left hook to Obie's body.  
Bayard walks Obie down, trapping him in the corner.  Bayard connects with a left hook.  
Bayard forces Obie to retreat into a corner.  Bayard lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Obie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Obie tries to step out of his opponents range.  Bayard lands a cross.
