Taro Murata vs Hideki Ota

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 25/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Tokyo Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Taro Murata (10 - 1) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Hideki Ota(7 - 7 - 3) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Murata and Ota weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kazuhiko Ide, and the three ringside judges are Aki Fujii, Takeo Kibe and Taro Sunada.  

Round 1: 

Ota lands a left hook.  
Ota advances into close range.  Murata quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ota connects with a left hook.
