Shinji Nakao vs Hiroki Ueno

Boxing Daily Report from the Ekstein Promotions promoted show at Ryo Aoyama Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 23/05/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Shinji Nakao (4 - 0 - 1) who hails from Kawaguchi, Japan and Hiroki Ueno(7 - 3 - 2) from Yokohama, Japan.  Nakao weighed in at 125 pounds and 7 ounces, while Ueno weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ryuu Komatsu, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Hora, Aki Nishimoto and Isamu Kawai.  

Round 1: 

Nakao connects with a left uppercut.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ueno's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ueno's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ueno's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
