Gus Cathcart vs Malcolm Van Heerden

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at African Gym, Johannesburg,  taking place on 27/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gus Cathcart (7 - 3 - 1) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Malcolm Van Heerden(4 - 13(1) - 1) from Germiston, South Africa.  Cathcart weighed in at 167 pounds and 1 ounces, while Van Heerden weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Siphelele Nhlapo, and the three ringside judges are Mark Van Jaarsveld, Tshepo Nqakula and John Masina.  

Round 1:
