Kong Jew vs Hiroki Sakamoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Ekstein Promotions promoted show at Ryo Aoyama Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 23/05/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Kong Jew (5 - 0) who hails from Hangzhou, China and Hiroki Sakamoto(4 - 1 - 1) from Saitama, Japan.  Both Jew and Sakamoto weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aki Nishimoto, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Hora, Ryuu Komatsu and Isamu Kawai.  

Round 1: 

Jew throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sakamoto advances into close range.  Jew is on target with a right hook.  
Sakamoto forces Jew to back into the ropes.  Sakamoto attempts to land a right uppercut, but Jew slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Jew drives a left uppercut into Sakamoto's body.  Jew ties up his opponent.  Jew uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sakamoto behind the head. The referee warns Jew and breaks the clinch.

Jew lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Jew digs in a left hook to Sakamoto's body.  Jew clinches his opponent.  Jew leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Jew pushes his forearm into Sakamoto's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Jew steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
