Alvino Duron vs Cris Caba

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Córdoba Tijerina, Córdoba,  taking place on 11/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Alvino Duron (1 - 0) who hails from Mar del Plata, Argentina and Cris Caba(0 - 1 - 1) from Córdoba, Argentina.  Both Duron and Caba weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Plasencia, and the three ringside judges are Kiki Alvidrez, Juan Dorado and Desiderio Zermeno.

Duron manouvers Caba into the corner.  Duron sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Duron throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Duron clinches his opponent.  Duron leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Duron gets on the inside.  Caba throws a right hook, but Duron holds on to his opponent.  Duron is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Caba's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Duron.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
