Leeroy Wei vs Obaid Lodi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Sarawak promoted show at Kuching Baluch, Kuching,  taking place on 26/05/2024:

Clearly AI Malaysia-Sarawak have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Sarawak Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leeroy Wei (4 - 3 - 6) who hails from Kuching, Malaysia and Obaid Lodi(2 - 2 - 2) from Kuching, Malaysia.  Wei weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Lodi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ahmed Semaan, and the three ringside judges are Imran Majid, Ali Mannan and Waqas Ayoub.  

Round 1: 

Lodi lands a cross.

Wei wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Lodi has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lodi dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Lodi.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
