Vidal Simon vs Ximen Chairez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-Santiago promoted show at Santiago de los Caba Villarru, Santiago de los Caballeros,  taking place on 27/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Dominican Republic Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vidal Simon (14 - 2 - 1) who hails from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic and Ximen Chairez(9 - 2 - 3) from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.  Both Simon and Chairez weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Guillermo Garzon, and the three ringside judges are Frisco Valle, Quico Amaya and Roman Avendano.  

Round 1: 

Simon is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
