Fresco Alonzo vs Alfonso Quijada

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-Bayamon promoted show at Bayamon Escajeda, Bayamon,  taking place on 30/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fresco Alonzo (8 - 6 - 2) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Alfonso Quijada(8 - 6 - 1) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Alonzo weighed in at 108 pounds, while Quijada weighed in at 107 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alano Exposito, and the three ringside judges are Cuba Lugar, Gig Coca and Ulises Fabela.  

Round 1: 

Quijada is looking to close the distance.  Alonzo is on target with a left hook.

Alonzo goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Quijada's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Quijada dabs at his face checking for damage.  Quijada has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Quijada attempts to land a right uppercut, but Alonzo blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
