Joel Mkhize vs Umi Nomvete

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Mamelodi Wana, Mamelodi,  taking place on 31/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa-Gauteng Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Mkhize (5 - 6(1) - 1) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Umi Nomvete(7 - 9 - 1) from Mamelodi, South Africa.  Mkhize weighed in at 167 pounds And 13 ounces, while Nomvete weighed in at 168 pounds.
