Senior Nzie vs Alfonso Balli

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Kern Center Arena, Milwaukee,  taking place on 06/06/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Senior Nzie (6(1) - 0) who hails from Yagoua, Cameroon and Alfonso Balli(4 - 8 - 2) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Nzie and Balli weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gareth Prichard, and the three ringside judges are Michael Yeamans, Rex Applegarth and Chris Bobet.  

Round 1: 

Balli circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Nzie lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Nzie advances into close range.  Nzie pivots from in front of his opponent.  Nzie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Nzie tries to land a left hook, but Balli blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nzie lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Balli tries to keep the action at long range.  Nzie lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Nzie lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Nzie walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nzie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Balli's body.  
Nzie lands a cross.  
Nzie gets on the inside.  Nzie pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left uppercut into Balli's body.  
Nzie lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Balli has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Nzie cuts off the ring, trapping Balli in a neutral corner.  Nzie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Balli wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nzie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Balli lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Nzie steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Nzie advances into close range.  Nzie pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Nzie feints a jab, tricking Balli into launching a cross counter.  Nzie avoids the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Nzie is on target with a right hook.  
Balli switches the action to the outside.  Balli lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Nzie connects with a firm overhand left.  
Nzie advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Nzie lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nzie walks his opponent into a corner.  Balli tries to land a left hook, but Nzie sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Balli's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Balli's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
