David Hannigan vs Leighton Fiddes

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at RJM Gym, Cambridge,  taking place on 14/05/2024:

Clearly RJM Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Hannigan (2 - 1) who hails from Sheffield, UK and Leighton Fiddes(0 - 6 - 3) from Warrington, UK.  Both Hannigan and Fiddes weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brendan Beddoe, and the three ringside judges are Chris Whitfield, Harry Mullins and Robert Desmond.  

Round 1: 

Hannigan is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Fiddes is looking to close the distance.  Hannigan pivots to the left of his opponent.  Fiddes throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Hannigan ties up his opponent.  Hannigan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Hannigan pushes his forearm into Fiddes's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hannigan steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Hannigan finds the target with a jab.  
Hannigan switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Hannigan lands a jab.  
Hannigan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Hannigan steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Hannigan lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Hannigan lands a stinging jab.  
Hannigan is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  Hannigan tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
