Jay Baston vs Boden Beaucage

Boxing Daily Report from the Wigwam Promotions promoted show at Dakar Carre, Dakar,  taking place on 30/06/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jay Baston (6 - 0) who hails from Dakar, Senegal and Boden Beaucage(5 - 5 - 5) from Dakar, Senegal.  Both Baston and Beaucage weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Royal Lievremont, and the three ringside judges are Holland Mandiang, Sid Soumah and Fletcher Duras.  

Round 1: 

Beaucage is looking to close the distance.  Baston quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Beaucage throws a left hook, but Baston clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Beaucage pushes his forearm into Baston's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Beaucage.  
Baston connects with a cross.  
Baston is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Baston attempts to land a right uppercut, but Beaucage dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Beaucage throws a left hook, but Baston ties up his opponent.  Baston is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Baston is on target with a sharp right hook.  Baston ties up his opponent.  Baston pushes his forearm into Beaucage's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Baston about fouling.  
Baston gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Baston steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Beaucage hits home with a left hook.  
Beaucage wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baston dabs at his face checking for damage.

Beaucage advances into close range.  Baston lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Beaucage lands a cross.  
Baston gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Beaucage wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baston dabs at his face checking for damage.
