Dai Yogi vs Shinji Yokota

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo,  taking place on 31/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TBS, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Dai Yogi (5 - 1) who hails from Kawasaki, Japan and Shinji Yokota(13 - 3 - 1) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Yogi and Yokota weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hideki Ishibashi, and the three ringside judges are Dai Ishikawa, Hisao Yamane and Eiji Mizuno.  

Round 1: 

Yokota advances into close range and is on target with a sharp left hook.  Yokota attempts to land a right hook, but Yogi sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
