Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 25/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Hitoshi Oshiro (4 - 0) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Hitoshi Fujii(3 - 1 - 2) from Asahikawa, Japan.  Oshiro weighed in at 112 pounds, while Fujii weighed in at 111 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Kibe, and the three ringside judges are Aki Fujii, Kazuhiko Ide and Taro Sunada.  

Round 1:

Oshiro is on target with a cross.  Oshiro attempts to land a cross, but Fujii sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Fujii is looking to keep his distance.  Oshiro connects with a stinging cross.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Oshiro has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Oshiro feints a left, and then connects with an overhand right.  
Oshiro lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Oshiro steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Oshiro feints a jab, but Fujii is not fooled and is on target with a right hook.  
Oshiro pivots to the left of his opponent.  Fujii hits home with a right hook.  
Oshiro advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Oshiro steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.
