Ollie Davies vs Colin Hughes

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 24/05/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ollie Davies (6 - 0) who hails from Reno, USA and Colin Hughes(2 - 4 - 2) from Boston, USA.  Davies weighed in at 238 pounds and 12 ounces, while Hughes weighed in at 236 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mike Ruane, and the three ringside judges are Harry Burwick, Paul Mings and Mark Bellamy.  

Round 1: 

Hughes lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Davies hits home with a cross.

Davies is looking to close the distance.  Davies lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  As Davies tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hughes dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Davies quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
