David Querry vs Charles Leadingham

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Stramler Park, Bakersfield,  taking place on 19/06/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are David Heat Querry (4 - 0) who hails from Anchorage, USA and Charles Leadingham(5 - 3 - 1 - 1(NC)) from Eugene, USA.  Both Querry and Leadingham weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Sander, and the three ringside judges are Lee Copland, Malcolm Waldie and Justin Lever.  

Round 1: 

Querry steps inside and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Querry connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Leadingham switches the action to the outside.  Querry is on target with a cross.  
Querry lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Querry lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Querry gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Leadingham's body.

Querry pivots to the left of his opponent.  Querry tries to land a jab, but Leadingham sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Querry steps inside.  Querry lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Leadingham wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Querry.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Querry attempts to land a left uppercut, but Leadingham parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Leadingham backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Querry accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Leadingham.
