Huang-fu Ge vs Qing-Nan Kan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Sichuan promoted show at China-Sichuan Gym, Chengdu,  taking place on 15/06/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on His TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Huang-fu Ge (9(1) - 6(2)) who hails from Zigong, China and Qing-Nan Kan(10 - 4(1) - 1) from Qingdao, China.  Ge weighed in at 115 pounds, while Kan weighed in at 114 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Liko Bu, and the three ringside judges are Zhu Wu, Shen Ojong and Wu-pen Fui.  

Round 1: 

Ge gets on the inside.  Ge quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Ge lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Ge advances into close range.  Ge hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  As Ge tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kan dabs at his face checking for damage.

Kan is starting to lose his temper here.   He steps in close and swings a low uppercut into Ge's groin!  The ref halts the action and sends Ge to the neutral corner.    He tells Kan to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Kan walks his opponent into the corner.  Ge throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kan waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Ge lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, KNOCKING KAN DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  He holds his fists up but stumbles into the referee! Kan doesn't look like he's recovered at all.  The ref seems to thinks so as well...he's signalling that the fight is over!  The winner by TKO is Ge!
