Josef Kobza vs Kajetan Wacha

Boxing Daily Report from the JDHawks Gym promoted show at Nazaire Tendeng Gym, Bratislava,  taking place on 06/06/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Josef Kobza (6 - 0) who hails from Bratislava, Slovakia and Kajetan Wacha(5 - 10 - 3) from Warsaw, Poland.  Both Kobza and Wacha weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Verrier Niang, and the three ringside judges are Newell Sene, Dabney Dione and Olympe Mbacke.  

Round 1: 

Kobza connects with a solid cross.  
Wacha is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Wacha is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Kobza hits home with an overhand right.  
Kobza gets on the inside.  Kobza hits home with a left hook.  Kobza wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wacha dabs at his face checking for damage.  Wacha has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Kobza is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Wacha pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kobza is on target with a left uppercut.  
Kobza is looking to close the distance and lands a firm left hook.

Kobza steps inside and lands a left hook.  Kobza holds on to his opponent.  Kobza pushes his forearm into Wacha's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kobza.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Wacha's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Wacha's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Wacha's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
