Paul Gemmel vs Mel Breckenridge

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Ellis McGuire Gym, Columbus,  taking place on 13/06/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Paul Gemmel (0 - 0) who hails from Olathe, USA and Mel Breckenridge(1 - 2) from Scottsdale, USA.  Both Gemmel and Breckenridge weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dom Forbush, and the three ringside judges are Mark Cato, Spencer Tighe and Paul Strassman.  

Round 1: 

Gemmel gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Gemmel gets on the inside.  Gemmel pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Breckenridge is looking to close the distance.  Gemmel lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gemmel advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gemmel lands a right hook.  
Gemmel lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Gemmel pivots to the side of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Gemmel lands with a stinging jab.  
Gemmel advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Breckenridge's body.  
Breckenridge steps inside.  Gemmel drives a left hook into Breckenridge's body.  
Gemmel pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Breckenridge advances into close range.  Gemmel sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Breckenridge steps inside.  Gemmel pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Breckenridge's ribs.  
Breckenridge pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gemmel lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gemmel pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Gemmel pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gemmel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gemmel lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Gemmel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Breckenridge lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Gemmel lands a left uppercut.  
Breckenridge is looking to close the distance.  Gemmel pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Gemmel lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Gemmel retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Breckenridge tries to tag Gemmel on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Gemmel is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Breckenridge pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gemmel drives a left hook into Breckenridge's body.  
Gemmel lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Breckenridge dabs at his face checking for damage.  Breckenridge has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Gemmel lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Breckenridge's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!
