Mark Awere vs Ulan Mensah

Boxing Daily Report from the Busia Promotions promoted show at Mashawn Cobbina Gym, Kumasi,  taking place on 19/06/2024:

Clearly Busia Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Awere (3 - 11 - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Ulan Mensah(4 - 7 - 4) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Awere and Mensah weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Acquah, and the three ringside judges are Rob Adjei, Malcolm Habe and Farhan Sahli.  

Round 1: 

Mensah hits home with a left hook.  
Mensah sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Awere hits home with a left uppercut.  
Awere is looking to keep his distance.  Mensah tries to land a jab, but Awere sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Awere steps to the outside.  Mensah sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with an overhand left.  
Awere is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a cross, but Mensah parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mensah switches the action to the outside.  Awere is on target with a cross.

Awere tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Awere dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Awere.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Awere connects with a cross.  
Mensah pivots from in front of his opponent.  Awere lands a left hook.  
Mensah steps inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Awere gets on the inside.  Mensah is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.
