Dale Myres vs Chris Brown

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Kingston promoted show at Kingston Smiles, Kingston,  taking place on 22/06/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Jamaica-Kingston Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dale Myres (7 - 8 - 2) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Chris Brown(7 - 0 - 1) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Myres and Brown weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John French, and the three ringside judges are Harvey Dennie, Harvey Dennie and Oliver Hedley.  

Round 1: 

Myres tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Brown steps to the outside.  Brown sidesteps to the right of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Myres tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Brown steps inside.  Brown steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Myres tries to tag Brown on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!

Myres pivots to the left of his opponent.  Brown drives a left uppercut into Myres's body.  Brown wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Myres dabs at his face checking for damage.
