Dai Nagai vs Ichiro Uyeda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kanagawa promoted show at Yokohama Ando, Yokohama,  taking place on 22/06/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Kanagawa Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai Nagai (12 - 2 - 3) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Ichiro Uyeda(7 - 5 - 1) from Kawasaki, Japan.  Nagai weighed in at 111 pounds And 7 ounces, while Uyeda weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Yasushi Aoki, Daiki Sasaki and Keiichi Hatanaka.  

Round 1: 

Nagai steps to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  Nagai attempts to land a cross, but Uyeda slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Uyeda pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nagai attempts to land a right hook, but Uyeda sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Uyeda gets on the inside and walks Nagai into a corner.  Uyeda is on target with a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Nagai.  That has caused a bad cut in the corner of.  
Nagai is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Uyeda is on target with a right hook.  
Nagai is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with an overhand right.  
Nagai switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left.

Nagai lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
