Melor Likholitov vs Pyotr Ivanenko

Boxing Daily Report from the Assiful Promotions promoted show at Novokuznetsk Zenovka, Novokuznetsk,  taking place on 06/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Russia-Tatarstan Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Melor Likholitov (12 - 3 - 1) who hails from Kazan, Russia and Pyotr Ivanenko(3 - 0) from Kazan, Russia.  Both Likholitov and Ivanenko weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vitali Datsyuk, and the three ringside judges are Boris Kuzin, Timofei Markowski and Toma Valuev.  

Round 1: 

Likholitov attempts to land a jab, but Ivanenko blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ivanenko.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
