Duncan Fullerton vs Damaskenos Maras

Boxing Daily Report from the TooOldToParty promoted show at Crown Perth, Perth,  taking place on 19/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Doctor Duncan Fullerton (6 - 0) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Damaskenos Maras(1 - 2) from Athens, Greece.  Both Fullerton and Maras weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Daniel Norman, and the three ringside judges are Ben Banis, Dave McPherson and Vince Kelty.  

Round 1: 

Fullerton feints a cross and triggers a right hook counter from Maras.  Fullerton springs the trap and counters with  a firm left uppercut.  
Fullerton steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Fullerton pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Maras closes the distance.  Fullerton throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the punch.  Fullerton holds on to his opponent.  Maras leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Maras pivots from in front of his opponent.  Maras throws a left uppercut, but Fullerton holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Fullerton pushes his forearm into Maras's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Fullerton about fouling.  
Fullerton lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Fullerton holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Maras throws a left hook, but Fullerton clinches his opponent.  Fullerton leans on his opponent using all his weight. Fullerton is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Fullerton.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.

Fullerton walks Maras onto the ropes.  Fullerton is on target with a right uppercut.  
Fullerton lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
