Nicholas Van Schalkwyk vs Jevonte Sono

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-KwaZulu-Natal promoted show at Umlazi Malherbe, Umlazi,  taking place on 24/06/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nicholas Van Schalkwyk (7 - 0) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Jevonte Sono(10 - 1 - 2) from Durban, South Africa.  Both Van Schalkwyk and Sono weighed in at 140 pounds.
