Jay Costain vs Mark Loar

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkoloma Promotions promoted show at Auckland Ghant, Auckland,  taking place on 26/06/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jay Costain (11(1) - 2 - 1) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and Mark Loar(8 - 4 - 3) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Costain and Loar weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Mostyn, and the three ringside judges are Mike Sproule, Corey Hopper and Glynn Telford.  

Round 1: 

Costain advances into close range.  Loar is on target with a right uppercut.
