Quaddus Kaunda vs Daniil Stepushkin

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Aarhus,  taking place on 20/06/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Quaddus Kaunda (6 - 0) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Daniil Stepushkin(6 - 8) from Moscow, Russia.  Both Kaunda and Stepushkin weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carolus Helgesen, and the three ringside judges are Ultar Juul, Vannevar Hustedt and Vidar Underberg.  

Round 1: 

Kaunda gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Stepushkin blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Stepushkin pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kaunda is on target with a jab.  
Kaunda closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Kaunda holds on to his opponent.  Kaunda pushes his forearm into Stepushkin's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kaunda.  
Kaunda manages to force Stepushkin onto the ropes.  Kaunda tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kaunda closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Stepushkin switches the action to the outside.  Kaunda lands a cross.  
Kaunda gets on the inside.  Kaunda throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Stepushkin time to recover.  
Kaunda lands a right hook.  Kaunda holds on to his opponent.  Kaunda is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kaunda lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Kaunda connects with a right uppercut.  
Stepushkin pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kaunda lands a right uppercut.  
Kaunda advances into close range and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kaunda closes the distance.  Kaunda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the head.

Stepushkin hits home with a left hook.  Kaunda ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Stepushkin pushes his forearm into Kaunda's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Stepushkin throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Stepushkin attempts to land a right uppercut, but Kaunda parries the shot and counters with a left hook.
