Arran Battle vs Daniel Torrens

Boxing Daily Report from the Agyemang Promotions promoted show at Raleigh Maille, Raleigh,  taking place on 02/07/2024:

Clearly Agyemang Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Arran Battle (1 - 0) who hails from San Diego, USA and Daniel Torrens(1 - 0 - 2) from Baltimore, USA.  Both Battle and Torrens weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Felix Hughes, and the three ringside judges are Kian Bourne, Dan Creelman and Oliver Racine.  

Round 1: 

Torrens gets on the inside.  Battle digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Battle lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Battle finds the target with a jab.  
Battle lands a ramrod jab.  
Battle feints a left, and then lands a ramrod jab.  
Torrens forces Battle to retreat into the corner.  Battle attempts to land a left hook, but Torrens blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Torrens manages to force Battle onto the ropes.  Battle lands with a stiff jab.  
Battle is on target with a cross.  
Battle steps away from his opponent and lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Battle attempts to land a cross, but Torrens parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Battle tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Torrens is looking to close the distance.  Battle drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Battle switches the action to the outside.  Battle feints a jab, tricking Torrens into launching a right hook counter.  Battle avoids the shot and counters with a cross.  
Battle tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.  
Torrens advances into close range.  Battle pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Battle steps away from his opponent.  Torrens hits home with an overhand left.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Torrens's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Battle pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Battle connects with a left uppercut.  
Battle drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Battle steps to the outside and drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Battle is on target with a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Battle dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Battle drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Torrens gets on the inside.  Battle lands a right uppercut.  
Battle feints a right, and then lands a sharp jab.  
Torrens gets on the inside.  Battle lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Battle tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a hard jab.  
Battle finds the target with a jab.  Battle attempts to land a jab, but Torrens slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Battle lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Battle pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Torrens is looking to close the distance.  Battle lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Battle tries to keep the action at long range and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Torrens manages to force Battle into the red corner.  Battle lands with a hard jab.  
Torrens steps inside.  Battle lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Torrens attempts to land a right hook, but Battle blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Torrens attempts to land a cross, but Battle slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Battle tries to step out of his opponents range.  Battle quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Battle tries to land a cross, but Torrens blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Battle lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Torrens forces Battle to retreat onto the ropes.  Battle is on target with a jab.
