Dillon Mulla vs Phil Nkomo

Boxing Daily Report from the Donnelly Boxing promoted show at Chris Beenzu Gym, Kitwe,  taking place on 30/06/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Dillon Mulla (1 - 0) who hails from Ndola, Zambia and Phil Nkomo(3 - 2 - 1) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Mulla and Nkomo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tevin Chamuka, and the three ringside judges are Napoleon Mwaanga, Denzel Silwimba and Kwamin Ilunga.  

Round 1: 

Mulla gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Nkomo's liver.  Mulla tries to land a right hook, but Nkomo blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mulla is on target with a left hook to Nkomo's body.  
Mulla lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Mulla drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Nkomo lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mulla advances into close range.  Mulla lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nkomo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mulla throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nkomo lands a jab.  
Mulla advances into close range and digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mulla holds on to his opponent.  Mulla pushes his forearm into Nkomo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mulla to stop fouling.  
Mulla lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Mulla ties up his opponent.  Mulla leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mulla drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Nkomo is on target with a jab to Mulla's body.

Mulla lands a stinging left hook.  Mulla holds on to his opponent.  Mulla throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Mulla leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Mulla attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Nkomo time to recover.  
Mulla walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Mulla lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.
