Charlie Mawejje vs Zain Zaman

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at Kampala Rwamirama, Kampala,  taking place on 02/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uganda Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Charlie Mawejje (11(2) - 0) who hails from Gulu, Uganda and Zain Zaman(7 - 1) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Mawejje and Zaman weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Onaedo Odur, and the three ringside judges are Dale Kayonga, Ian Magunda and John Wabwiremangen.
