Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Kings Hall, Belfast,  taking place on 01/07/2024:

Clearly Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Niall MacNeill (14 - 0) who hails from Tallaght, Ireland and Peter Burns(7 - 6 - 2) from London, UK.  Both MacNeill and Burns weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eoin McPhee, and the three ringside judges are James McAfee, Paul Sheridan and Anthony McCabe.  

Round 1: 

MacNeill lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
MacNeill lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Burns tries to land a right hook, but MacNeill slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Burns pivots to the left of his opponent.  MacNeill lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
MacNeill lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Burns has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
MacNeill switches the action to the outside and lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Burns closes the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Burns sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  MacNeill lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Burns pivots to the left of his opponent.  MacNeill lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Burns steps inside.  MacNeill sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Burns throws a left hook, but MacNeill clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Burns pushes his forearm into MacNeill's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
MacNeill is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left.  
MacNeill steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.

MacNeill sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
MacNeill lands with a sharp jab.  
MacNeill lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.
