Connor Myres vs Carson Haagen

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at O2 Academy Leicester, Leicester,  taking place on 06/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Connor Myres (7 - 0) who hails from Manchester, USA and Carson Haagen(1 - 2 - 1) from Roskilde, Denmark.  Both Myres and Haagen weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ryan Wilde, and the three ringside judges are Alexander McClenny, Tobias Moffit and Robert Ewings.  

Round 1: 

Myres finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Myres closes the distance.  Myres pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Myres lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Myres gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Myres advances into close range.  Myres sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Myres sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Haagen's body.  
Myres snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Myres is looking to close the distance and lands a solid right hook.  
Myres gets on the inside.  Haagen throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Myres time to recover.  
Myres is looking to close the distance.  Myres backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Haagen steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Haagen attempts to land a jab, but Myres sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Haagen is looking to keep his distance and tries to land an overhand left, but Myres blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Myres closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but Haagen parries the shot and counters with a right hook.

Myres closes the distance.  Haagen pivots from in front of his opponent.  Myres lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Myres lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Myres attempts to land a jab, but Haagen sidesteps and counters with a right hook.
