Mel Clyde vs Ricky Hood

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 07/07/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mel Clyde (6 - 1 - 4) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Ricky Hood(5 - 1 - 5) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Clyde weighed in at 154 pounds, while Hood weighed in at 153 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alen Nist, and the three ringside judges are Ian Webb, Michael Breck and Joshua Dallis.
