Paul Sand vs Ollie McReynolds

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 22/06/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Paul Sand (4 - 0 - 1) who hails from San Diego, USA and Ollie McReynolds(1 - 6(1)) from Norman, USA.  Both Sand and McReynolds weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stuart Ferrera, and the three ringside judges are Floyd Celestino, Ian Hesson and Joel Abraham.  

Round 1: 

Sand forces McReynolds to retreat into a corner.  Sand feints a cross, and then lands a stinging jab.

McReynolds steps inside.  Sand lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
McReynolds throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to McReynolds's liver.  
Sand is looking to close the distance.  Sand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Sand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McReynolds tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McReynolds's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  McReynolds's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  McReynolds's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

As they grapple, Sand pushes his forearm into McReynolds's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sand to stop fouling.  
Sand is looking to close the distance.  McReynolds hits home with a right hook.  
McReynolds gets on the inside.  Sand pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Sand manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sand lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
McReynolds pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sand lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sand pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Sand sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Sand backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  McReynolds accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Sand.  
Sand gets on the inside.  Sand digs in a left hook to McReynolds's liver.  As Sand tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McReynolds dabs at his face checking for damage.

McReynolds pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sand lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.
