Abdul Issawi vs Pepe Bongiorno

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Mayfair Casino, Nairobi,  taking place on 03/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the WRBO Intercontinental Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Abdul Issawi (15(8) - 0) who hails from Shubra El-Kheima, Egypt and Pepe Bongiorno(12 - 4(3) - 1) from Parma, Italy.  Both Issawi and Bongiorno weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shaun Arusei, and the three ringside judges are Luister Mutahi, Lee Rebelo and Manu Yator.  

Round 1: 

Issawi closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Issawi dabs at his face checking for damage.
