Dylan Maimalari vs Daichi Sawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Kasugai Gymnasium, Kasugai,  taking place on 20/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dylan Maimalari (12(8) - 0) who hails from Sapele, Nigeria and Daichi Sawa(12 - 4 - 4) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Maimalari weighed in at 247 pounds and 3 ounces, while Sawa weighed in at 245 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Daiki Onishi, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Tano, Mitsuru Yoshikawa and Hiro Taketa.  

Round 1:

Sawa tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sawa drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Maimalari lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Maimalari switches the action to the outside and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.

Maimalari lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Sawa recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Maimalari lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Maimalari steps to the outside.  Maimalari is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Maimalari lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, KNOCKING SAWA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Sawa now seems to have got his legs back.  
Maimalari is on target with a mean overhand left.  SAWA IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Maimalari quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sawa is on target with a jab.  
Maimalari tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Maimalari lands a jab.  
Sawa tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a mean left uppercut.  SAWA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Maimalari tries to step out of his opponents range.  Maimalari knows Sawa is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Maimalari lands a spiteful cross.  SAWA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Maimalari lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS SAWA TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not give Sawa the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Maimalari!
