Brett Steel vs Manny Alvillar

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Dallas Petroleum Club, Dallas,  taking place on 13/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brett Steel (7(2) - 0) who hails from Santa Clarita, USA and Manny Alvillar(3 - 0 - 1) from Guadalajara, Mexico.  Steel weighed in at 114 pounds and 13 ounces, while Alvillar weighed in at 114 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Toste, and the three ringside judges are Noah Fergusson, Mark Bellamy and Amon East.  

Round 1: 

Steel feints a left hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Steel advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Steel is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Steel manouvers Alvillar into the corner.  Steel lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Steel holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Steel pushes his forearm into Alvillar's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Steel.

Steel lands a left uppercut.  Steel clinches his opponent.  Steel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Steel manages to force Alvillar into a corner.  Alvillar throws a right hook, but Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Alvillar throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Steel lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Steel pivots to the side of his opponent.  Steel lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Steel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Steel steps inside and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Steel is on target with a right hook.  
Steel is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
