Charles Pierson vs Agapetus Mallen

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Dallas Petroleum Club, Dallas,  taking place on 13/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Charles Pierson (8 - 0) who hails from Sacremento, USA and Agapetus Mallen(6 - 0) from Ensenada, Mexico.  Pierson weighed in at 114 pounds and 10 ounces, while Mallen weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon East, and the three ringside judges are Michael Toste, Noah Fergusson and Mark Bellamy.  

Round 1: 

Mallen pivots from in front of his opponent.  Pierson tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.

Pierson wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mallen dabs at his face checking for damage.
