Callum Poet vs Paul Maguire

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 03/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Callum Poet (11 - 8) who hails from Sunshine Coast, Australia and Paul Maguire(6 - 8) from Brisbane, Australia.  Poet weighed in at 108 pounds, while Maguire weighed in at 107 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sammy Feamster, and the three ringside judges are Seth Urbano, John Taggart and Mark Taggert.
