William Suit vs Robert Neale

Boxing Daily Report from the Ssali Promotions promoted show at The Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford,  taking place on 15/07/2024:

Clearly Ssali Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Northern England Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are William Suit (9(1) - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Bradford, UK and Robert Neale(3 - 10(1) - 3) from Bradford, UK.  Suit weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces, while Neale weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Stoddart, and the three ringside judges are Rhod Secombe, Peter MacQuarrie and Bradley Hughes.  

Round 1: 

Suit pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Neale's ribs.  
Neale cuts off the ring, trapping Suit on the ropes.  Neale hits home with a cross.

Suit is looking to close the distance.  Suit pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Suit steps inside and connects with a left uppercut.  
Neale closes the distance.  Suit drives a left hook into Neale's body.  
Neale manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Suit lands with a stinging jab.  
Suit quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Suit closes the distance.  Suit lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Suit wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Neale dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Neale's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Neale's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Neale's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Suit.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
