Brad Kelty vs Nick Fairlie

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Belasco Theatre, Los Angeles,  taking place on 23/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Brad Kelty (5(4) - 0) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Nick Fairlie(8 - 9 - 3) from Centennial, USA.  Both Kelty and Fairlie weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dan Beatty, and the three ringside judges are Dominic Pollino, Paul Ross and Ashley Nesmith.  

Round 1:

Kelty steps inside.  Kelty pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kelty sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Fairlie throws a left hook, but Kelty clinches his opponent.  Kelty leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kelty gets on the inside.  Fairlie throws a right hook, but Kelty ties up his opponent.  Kelty leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
