Joaquin Casas vs Tajo Borge

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Santo Domingo promoted show at Enzo Cavazos Gym, Santo Domingo,  taking place on 18/07/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Santo Domingo Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Casas (8 - 9 - 2) who hails from Santo Domingo, Ecuador and Tajo Borge(7 - 6 - 3) from Santo Domingo, Ecuador.  Casas weighed in at 140 pounds, while Borge weighed in at 139 pounds And 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jose Pico, and the three ringside judges are Xalvador Gamero, Lisandro Cadenas and Porfio Jerez.  

Round 1: 

Casas lands a left hook.

Borge steps inside.  Casas throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Borge closes the distance and forces Casas to back into a corner.  Borge is on target with a left hook.  
Borge digs in a right hook to Casas's ribcage.
