Montenegro Urdiales vs Carlos Tamez

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Club Nueva Era, Rosario,  taking place on 30/06/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Montenegro Urdiales (1 - 0) who hails from Merlo, Argentina and Carlos Tamez(0 - 1) from Salta, Argentina.  Both Urdiales and Tamez weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Manny Mathe, and the three ringside judges are Marjun Malagon, Francisco Vasconcellos and Diego Merino.  

Round 1: 

Urdiales tries to land a left uppercut, but Tamez slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Urdiales closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Urdiales steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Urdiales clinches his opponent.  Urdiales is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Urdiales drives a stinging right hook into his opponents ribs.  Urdiales holds on to his opponent.  Urdiales is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Urdiales to stop fouling.

Urdiales lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  As Tamez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Urdiales dabs at his face checking for damage.

Urdiales gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Urdiales sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Urdiales tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Urdiales's ribs.
