Ali Akbar vs Kieran Frimpong

Boxing Daily Report from the Coetzee Promotions promoted show at Kumasi Kingson, Kumasi,  taking place on 20/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ghana-Ashanti Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ali Akbar (14 - 3 - 2) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Kieran Frimpong(13 - 1) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Akbar and Frimpong weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Malcolm Habe, and the three ringside judges are Bob Antwi, Mason Attoh and Faraji Anyidoho.  

Round 1: 

Frimpong is looking to keep his distance.  Akbar hits home with a cross.
