Agron Tolr vs Thorstein Burchardt

Boxing Daily Report from the Munachoonga Promotions promoted show at Gavin Griffith Gym, Edinburgh,  taking place on 26/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Agron Tolr (1 - 0) who hails from Tirana, Albania and Thorstein Burchardt(4 - 2) from Copenhagen, Denmark.  Tolr weighed in at 199 pounds and 10 ounces, while Burchardt weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter MacLaughlin, and the three ringside judges are Joseph Menelaws, Peter McAlister and Peter Cullen.  

Round 1: 

Tolr closes the distance.  Tolr pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.

Tolr hits home with a cross.  Tolr attempts to land a jab, but Burchardt slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tolr is looking to close the distance.  Tolr pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Tolr digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Tolr steps away from his opponent and drives a cross into Burchardt's body.  
Tolr steps inside.  Tolr pivots to the left of his opponent.  Burchardt throws a right hook, but Tolr ties up his opponent.  Tolr is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Tolr and breaks the clinch.  
Tolr gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Tolr lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Tolr clinches his opponent.  Tolr tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Burchardt's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tolr advances into close range.  Tolr pivots from in front of his opponent.  Burchardt throws a right hook, but Tolr holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Tolr pushes his forearm into Burchardt's face.  The referee warns Tolr and breaks the clinch.

Tolr quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Tolr steps inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Burchardt's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Burchardt's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Burchardt's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Tolr uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Burchardt behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tolr about fouling.
