Mason Pickens vs Lloyd Priddy

Boxing Daily Report from the Hard hitting promotions promoted show at Nassau Dinwiddie, Nassau,  taking place on 31/07/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Mason Pickens (5 - 2) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Lloyd Priddy(1 - 2) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Pickens and Priddy weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dominic Bass, and the three ringside judges are John Pollick, Kris Priddy and Peter Manatt.  

Round 1: 

Priddy gets on the inside.  Pickens connects with a left hook.  
Pickens lands a jab.  
Pickens feints a cross, and then lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Priddy walks Pickens down, trapping him on the ropes.  Priddy throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Pickens is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Priddy throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Pickens retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Priddy accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Pickens.  
Pickens tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Priddy steps inside.  Pickens digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Priddy gets on the inside.  Pickens lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pickens connects with a firm right hook.  
Pickens lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Priddy advances into close range.  Pickens lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
