Chris Nivens vs Peter Fordyce

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 05/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Chris Nivens (4 - 0) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Peter Fordyce(2 - 5 - 1) from Mesa, USA.  Both Nivens and Fordyce weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Andy Saenz, and the three ringside judges are Noah Fergusson, Chris Suit and James Curto.  

Round 1: 

Nivens lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nivens gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Nivens closes the distance.  Nivens pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  As Nivens tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fordyce dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Nivens drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Nivens steps inside and manouvers Fordyce into a neutral corner.  Nivens lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Nivens sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Fordyce's body.  
Nivens quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nivens advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Nivens advances into close range.  Nivens pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Nivens lands a jab.  
Fordyce lands a jab.  
Nivens gets on the inside and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nivens lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Nivens steps inside.  Fordyce pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Nivens lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Nivens steps inside and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Nivens ties up his opponent.  Nivens leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Nivens pushes his forearm into Fordyce's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Nivens.  
Nivens steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Nivens lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Nivens advances into close range.  Fordyce sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nivens hits home with a left hook.

Nivens is on target with a sharp right hook to Fordyce's body.
